- January 2018 : HONORABLE MENTION AWARD for the hight aesthetic, technical and creative standard oh his work- CIRCLE FOUNDATION-

o- 2017 - Exhibition at ROA - London- Royal Opera Arcades Gallery, with Zina Bercovici

- 2015 - Nominated Certificate of Excellence for being among the best 100 artists. 485 artists participated in the contest. Presented in the 13th Online Contest on ARTAVITA. Granted : april 28,2015

 - 2015 - Nominated at the Montreal Grand Design Awards, 8th edition, for the Cascadia Project “Atelier l’Oiseau Bleu”, in the Hotel – Recreational Space and Exhibitions category.

- 2014 – In charge of the Cascadia 2 project being completed at the Mud Bay Domain IPHO inc. started in June 2014.

- 2014 – SIDIM in Montreal, exhibition of the latest creations on copper and wood carvings.

- Grand Gala of Visual Arts Academia XXI on May 11, 2013: received the title of academician of International Academy of Fine Arts of Quebec. This great distinction is bestowed by her peers for her outstanding quality as a painting artist. Maev has also been nominated 3 times, once for the grand prize of the Academy.

- 2013 Exhibition at the Gallery Sabrina Falzone (Art Critic) in Milan from April 27 to May 31, 2013 solo

- 2013 Exhibition at the Biennale of Palermo - Italy-from January 10 to February 3 CIVIC Musée D'Art Contemporain "Giuseppe Sciortino" and Selected by the art critic Paolo Levi, the Minister of Culture Vittorio Sgarbi, the Critic Art Salvatore Russo, Professor Orathio Tanelli of New Jersey- USA, Professor Tatsuya Hirata Tokyo Japan

- March 2013, In charge of the Mud Bay Domain IPHO Inc. project, a recreational and tourist center, SPA accommodation. Designer for the Cascadia project, completed in June 2014.

- 2012 Exhibition in Florence-Italy - from December 1st to 10th 2012, to CUTTING EDGE Masters of Contemporary Art, Auditorium AL DUOMO, and selected for the Florence Biennale by the committee of critics of Art.

PROFESSIONALISM

 

 

An artist situated by copper and glass materials, the medium (varnishes) and her technic, among the ‘’Contemporary Trans-Realist’’ painters (name created to define her style) from which the combination of subconscious and nearly unreal images merge with the transparencies of colors.

Often strength and the magic of dreaming incite’s an escape.

Artist beyond tradition, reproducing images of the spirit and its inner garden.

Magical colors, new support and technique. Creations of pure imagination. Painter exhibiting internationally; New York, Milan, Florence, Paris, Geneva, Montreal.

Maev does not hesitate to counsel in arts and design, in large scale projects where she is asked to participate such as in Outaouais, and soon in the Bahamas.

For 25 years now I have chosen to express myself on copper plates with colored varnishes and other materials.

Copper’s warmth in combination with the transparency of the varnishes gives an incomparable radiance.

The characters in the paintings are stylized and emphasized in an abstract space. This composition gives to the whole, a different look which brings you in a timeless space.

The goal of these works is to let the gaze go into timeless space. These tables are made to dream, to escape and imagine other worlds elsewhere.

The spheres give movement and femininity, where men and women emanate sensuality.

 

Woodcarving
 
Sculpting is a way for me to revive those who illuminate our lives. I take delight in reviving trees that the wind or lightning has brought down. I allow them to be reborn again for many centuries.

These sculptures embellish spaces and leave a lasting trace of these species that are often endangered.

Trees talk to us, they express in their forms, life, their lives.
